The Dalisa’s were actually married here at the
Monte Verde Inn and fell in love with the beautiful facility
and the dream of owning & operating it
together. Years later their dream came true and now they make every effort to
have your dream wedding or event be everything and more then you imagined. Upon
acquiring the Monte Verde Inn the Dalisa’s have made substantial investments
into upgrading the facility and services of what was already considered the premier
wedding & banquet site in the area.
Douglas has been a professional chef since 1990. After attending the California
Culinary Academy in San Francisco he honed his craft and developed
his own unique style at various country clubs and fine dinning restaurants from
the Bay Area to Lake Tahoe. As the Executive Chef at the “Big Water Grille” he
earned the “best overall restaurant” title in the Lake Tahoe area.
Douglas now overseas all the food & beverage operations at the Inn and takes
great pride in personally preparing all the meals using only the freshest, highest
quality ingredients. With his extensive knowledge of domestic and imported wines
Douglas is more than happy to suggest perfect pairings for the food that is served.
Kelly worked in the catering & restaurant field for a number of years before
receiving a degree from San Jose State in Hotel & Restaurant
Management. She then spent six years teaching culinary arts & hospitality
management. Kelly has developed strong partnerships with Sacramento area hotels,
restaurants & the California Restaurant Association who honored her with
the “2005 teacher of the year award”. She now uses her inspiring,
warm & friendly personality to coordinate all the weddings and events at
the Inn, making guests completely at ease and allowing you to thoroughly enjoy
the event at hand.
